Stories and Wars. A Meeting with Yuriy Hudymenko

The war is 90% hard work, every day. The other 10% is a bloody and scary mess. We need to show society this hard work to bridge the gap between soldiers and civilians. Ukrainian activist, journalist and veteran of russian war in Ukraine Yuriy Hudymenko presented his book at Ukraine House and shared his stories from the frontline, along with his views on the war and its consequences.

In his book, he compiled texts and speeches he wrote in chronological order. Yuriy Hudymenko tried to reflect his experiences, even when uncertain about his future and his ability to walk. Yet here he is, in great spirits, joking and encouraging people to support Ukraine, as he believes this won't be its last war. We are very thankful to Yuriy Hudymenko for the excellent presentation, the many inspiring and funny stories, and for establishing such a unique connection with our guests that they didn’t want him to finish.

Additionally, Ukraine House is grateful to Help Heroes of Ukraine organization for helping organize this event and for its work in providing essential aid to Ukraine.
