NOVE MISTO

The NOVE MISTO (“new city” in Ukrainian) Initiative is a transformational project to build a new city in Ukraine for 100 thousand residents in Ukraine, developed by business leaders and known reformers with proven track record and world renown architects and urbanists with the support of Ukrainian government and international partners. NOVE MISTO is a pilot project for Ukrainian reconstruction and accelerating EU integration rooted in security, sustainability, education, entrepreneurship, accessibility, and innovative approaches to urban governance.

Our inspiration is to unite breakthrough innovations with the Ukrainian traditional roots: merge the ancient culture of circular Trypillian community cities with state-of-the-art urban development strategies. NOVE MISTO will be the opportunity to implement the most efficient and innovative urbanism ideas in Europe. We dream of building an innovation and education hub and in the center and polycentric 15-minute neighborhoods around, each representing a sector economy and selected partner countries’ cultural space. Each center will be united by principles of safety, convenience, green-economy, and inclusivity, allowing each citizen to live, create, and thrive.

The NOVE MISTO project is simultaneously a visionary project, a place for private businesses to enter Ukraine and thrive, and an open discussion platform for pioneering ideas of how new cities should be built. After all, we are confident that Ukraine will need ten such new cities in the future; the world even more. Our ambition is to be the first and pave the way with best practices and values, while also develop a blueprint to be applied in other places in post-war Ukraine and in other communities. Initiative is implemented jointly by UKraineHouse and UDF
