The art of Vasyl Khmeluk is powerful and captivating. As one of Ukraine’s first prominent expressionists, his work reflects an extraordinary vision. Khmeluk’s journey starts from his service in the Ukrainian People’s Republic’s army and his escape from Ukraine due to Russian terror, to his artistic awakening in Paris, where he gained recognition across Europe and the U.S. We hosted this exhibition in fall 2024.
