Originally located in a quiet, residential neighborhood in Irpin, the slide was part of a playground where children played, carefree and in the security of their neighborhood. That all changed on February 24, 2022, when russian troops invaded, this playground became a place of indiscriminate murdering of civilians at the hands of the invaders. This slide was brought to the United States by Nuntucket Cares, to show, first hand, the damage of this brutal war on the civilian population of Ukraine.
